The Akron Haunted Schoolhouse & Haunted Laboratory is NOW HIRING for the 2025 Halloween season!

• • We will be hiring for the following positions:
    • SCARE ACTORS ~ Must be 16+, 18+ preferred
      • Get PAID to scare people!
      • Keep in mind that this is NOT an easy job. It’s physically demanding and exhausting, so please expect to sweat a lot on the busiest of nights.
    • PARKING LOT ATTENDANTS ~ Must be 18+
  • 2025 HIRING EVENTS:
    • SATURDAY, AUGUST 16, 2025 ~ 12-4 PM
    • SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 2025 ~ 12-4 PM
  • An in-person interview/audition is required before hiring.
    • If you cannot make it to a hiring event, we will try to accommodate you on another date

• We would prefer that all prospective new hires attend one of the above hiring events.

• All applicants must be at least 16-years old, though we prefer 18 & over.

EMPLOYEE INFORMATION

• • Actors are preferred to report to work NO LATER than 1 hour prior to opening to allow for makeup application and wardrobe, and may be required to work well past the listed closing time, depending on how busy we are.
  • Work days will be Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays from September 20th through Nov. 8th (Not including 11/7)
    • Friday & Saturday OPEN hours (NOT work hours, see above):  7pm-Midnight
    • Sunday OPEN hours (NOT work hours, see above):  7-10pm
  • All other employees must report to work NO LATER than 30 minutes prior to opening, some positions will require arrival 1 hour or more before opening.
  • All employees are required to have reliable transportation.
