Akron Beacon Journal highlights some of the “What to expect” this Halloween season from two of NE Ohio’s largest Halloween Haunted Attractions.

“Love Bites: A Valentine’s Haunted House” – the local landmark to all things scary at 1300 Triplett Blvd will be open for a special Haunted Valentines Day event.

Kim Shapiro and John Eslich team up to create a new Halloween themed bar for “That popup bar”.  John’s expertise with the Haunted Schoolhouse, Haunted Laboratory and The Factory of Terror created a professional Halloween environment to Shapiro’s pop up bar concept.  Shapiro’s experience in operating multiple facilities serving alcohol was much needed as The Haunted Schoolhouse gears up to serve alcohol this season.

This fall marks the first time since the attraction’s humble beginnings in 1974, when the late Don Johns and his wife, Cindy, purchased the former Thomastown Elementary School on Triplett Boulevard and opened a haunted house, that someone else has been in charge of the eclectic collection of props and scenes from cemeteries to crackling laboratories.
